Black Privilege

Black Privilege
First of all I believe that this is an extremely crazy article not only because I am black but when I read it I just hear straight up ignorance.  The first sentence throws me off my balance when reading because it says “Here goes some good news about all you black folks complaining about racism”. I don't know if this phrase upsets other people but it most definitely upsets me because how can we complain about something that happens to a lot of my race on a daily basis. You can not complain about racism but, you can only make the awareness of it. This is something that needs to get across this crazy author's head.
The comments that are in the article made it extremely hard to even continue reading because I did not know if I was mad or bewildered. A couple paragraphs into it he say “White is becoming the new black”. This has to be the craziest comment in the story. Whites can never be black because they have never been through the oppression that we had to go through for hundreds of years. Being taken from their homes and sent to another continent to work for random people with horrible conditions and more. Therefore the comment was extremely unnecessary because it is false.
It's hard to write this blog and not be biased because I am an African American man but I feel that the things said in this story are just ridiculous and it makes me just say “ what the Hell” every three lines. The article had a couple remarks saying that we have perks that whites do not. We have no perks and there is so much that we can say regarding this statement. We can be chastised any and everywhere we go just for being a color. Going into stores, driving, even being in a neighborhood we can be a target. This article upset me to the point where I was not able to finish it!!

Young Thug- SLIME SEASON 2 Review

‘Slime Season 2’

The artist Young Thugs whose real name is Jeffery Lamar Willams  is 24 years old upcoming rapper straight out of Atlanta. The part in the city where is is from was deemed so bad by the city that it was called zone 3 and was later demolished.  He was the second youngest of 10 siblings. Thug spent 4 years in a juvenile correction center and found his nac in rapping. Growing into the passion Young Thug came out with multiple mixtapes called ‘Came From Nothing volumes 1,2,and 3’. With no one having the same style of rapping he caught the attention of many people, especially Gucci Man who signed him to is 1017 Brick Squad label. His fourth mixtape was ‘1017 Thug’ and Rolling Stone placed it on ten top mixtape list in 2013. Bater 6 came out in April of 2015 and landed number 9 on the new hottest hip-hop charts.Slime Season released in mid September and then Slime Season 2 on Halloween.
Young thug is known to be extremely different than other artist in his lyrics and adlibs and just the way he talks. On Slime Season 2 the music is very driving and makes you just wanna vibe if you can understand what he is saying. Thug is extremely thought-provoking when it comes to lyrics because with people not understanding him it leaves the listener thinking about what language he is speaking. When everyone first listens to him there is 95% chance it sounds like gibberish but the more you listen to him the more you can understand his message. He has the ability to hide his words in his voice which no other artist can do and that can stop a lot of people from listening to him.

He also demonstrated his talent in ‘Up’ produced by Wheezy, Thugs lyrics are very amusing because they can leave people in awe ,“ baby girl gon’ stay and drop it, no steps I promise i go up, Girl what up? Im like baby this wassup” which is just a jaw breaking line. Also Wheezy & Ricky Racks helped produce a song called “ I’ll Tell You What” that had a beat that was mesmerizing because it lets you zone out with it into your own world because it has a atmospheric feel to it. Young Thug also had a raw lyric in the song “ Pheonix” produced by Goose because it was extremely clever “ Kuna Matata I need you, I am a Mufasa genius” which is just a profound lyric because has so much meaning in the ways you could think about it. Overall I rate it 9/10.

Young Thug accomplished may things from this mixtape and all of these things helped him in the long run. First it increased his fan base because a lot of people started to listen to him once it released. Second after it was released people were on pins and needles waiting for slime season 3 to release. Third of all he just got plenty money to last him for a life time and his family. Thugger has now got his clout up in the music world.

"Macklemore- White Privalege

The man named Ben Haggerty goes by the stage name of Macklemore and is 32 years old who was born from Seattle Washington. He was 14 when he first started writing lyrics and got involved with music. His music styles are rapping, singing, and songwriting. His lyrics are usually deeply thought through and have a stronger meaning. The song ‘White Privilege II’ also has a beginning in 2004.
The strong is extremely original with the style he uses. It has different sets of beats and then recordings off people talking in society to further enhance his message. The sound has different tempos and it’s not loud enough where the listener focuses on the beat but instead the lyrics. The grade is (6.5/10).music

My Stance: Top 3 reasons you should know about Asteroids!

Reason Number 1: The google definition of an asteroid “is a small rocky body orbiting the sun. Large numbers of these, ranging in size from nearly 600 miles (1,000 km) across (Ceres) to dust particles, are found (as the asteroid belt) especially between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter, though some have more eccentric orbits, and a few pass close to the earth or enter the atmosphere as meteors.” So imagine a huge rock the size of the states, Colorado, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, and Montana falling from the sky. That would most definitely have everyone running back to their families because in the 21st century we have never seen an asteroid that big. If an asteroid of that mass hit the earth, we would all be extinct in an instant.A real photograph of 1999 asteroid RQ36 we have added to a mocked-up image to show it approaching Earth
Reason Number 2: There have been many asteroids that have narrowly missed the earth in the past 16 years. For example, in 2013 an asteroid was only 17,200 miles away from the earth which was the closest call in history. According to national geographic they stated, “This is indeed a remarkably close approach for an asteroid this size," which shows how crazy it would have been if it had hit the earth. The asteroid was the size of half a football field and if it would have it earth there could have been major effects to earth because if that. Some major effects could depend on where it hits the earth. There might have been tsunamis and earthquakes and the atmospheric pressure could have possibly change the temperatures in our skies causing harsher global warming. They also estimate between 36 and 166 meteorites larger than 10 grams fall to Earth per million square kilometers per year. Over the whole surface area of Earth, that translates to 18,000 to 84,000 meteorites bigger than 10 grams per year.

Reason Number 3: 65 million years ago an asteroid hit earth and caused a complete global firestorm. According to www.whyfiles.org, “then a cold snap and finally a global warming that extinguishes the dinosaurs.” An asteroid wiping out an entire species of animals is a pretty serious thing because the same thing could happen today. Some asteroids are so big that they have moons of their own so just imagine the size of the asteroid that hit the dinosaurs. The next big asteroid is scheduled to hit earth in 2175.

BIKELIFE

The phrase 'Bikelife' started a long time ago when people started riding either pedal bikes, dirtbikes, or motorcycles. There are people who claim bikelife in almost every city around the world because its a worldwide movement. In the early 1990's the riding of motor vehicles and doing tricks on them became extremely popular on the East coast. The main city on the East coast was and still is Baltimore city. It started when a group of people started to ride dirtbikes on sunday through all the neighborhoods in the city. Seeing a group of guys having that much fun in such a dangerous and poor city caused young kids to want to join. Which in turn caused a lot of people to start to save up and ride bikes because it kept them out the streets and brought a since of family. This quickly spread to different cities and states.

Also with traveling to different cities peole became famous through bikelife because of their style or combos on a bike. For example Lil Dev who is now deceased(RIP), and became very well know through out the American Bikelife community because he was in a lot of peoples eyes the best at flexing on dirtbikes. He was from Baltimore city and was always outside on the bikes practicing and doing what he loved most. He road with a lot of people that he grew up with and they all starved together and ended up eating together because they were able to start a group called 'WOWBOYZ' which was a group that road all through out the city. SOmeone he was close with is Chino Ming who is also famous now and has sponsors by bike, clothing, and shoe companies.

People can claim bikelife for the fame but its not for the money or the girls. Its to have fun and make a bond with all kind of cool people from different parts of cities, states, and countries. Its can keep people out of trouble because instead of doing something bad in the streets, now people can ride dirtbikes with their friends and have a good time. There are two famous sayings when it comes to bikelife in the DMV area "Bikes Up Guns Down", "Bikelife Brings Bonds Not Beef". If you are bikelife you should understand where I am coming from.
